Ammonia (R717) is commonly used as a refrigerant in various Industrial applications as well within commercial refrigeration. It provides the benefit of low environmental impact combined with attractive cost compared to HFC refrigerants. Ammonia is however both flammable and toxic and corrosive to copper and for those applications our All-Stainless range should be used.

SWEP All-Stainless is a range of durable, compact and efficient BPHEs for the most demanding applications and is suitable in different ammonia systems such as oil cooler, economizer, desuperheater, evaporator and condenser.

SWEP has a large variety of heat exchangers suitable for Air Compressors, both for oil free and oil lubricated compressors and for capacities up to 12000 Nm3/h. Our BPHEs are used in oil/air coolers and for heat recovery purposes. Our standard copper brazed products as well as the All-Stainless- and Sealix ranges can all for such applications.

Condensation is a common problem in compressed air systems. It can cause corrosion and considerable damage to the equipment that uses the air. Compressed air must always be dried if it is to be used in any kind of machinery. Our unique brazed plate heat exchanger (BPHE) solutions include our Air Dryer with integrated separator (ADWIS) and dual-over-two-pass (D2P) configurations addressing capacities up to 2 000 Nm3/h

Chillers and cooling systems for industrial purposes are used to ensure accurate temperature control for industrial processes or fluids. Our brazed plate heat exchangers (BPHEs) are mainly used for evaporators, condensers and single-phase heat exchangers in industries such as plastic & rubber (plastic molding cooling), food & beverage, concrete manufacturing, medical and pharmaceutics.

Water quality in these systems can vary heavily. If the water quality is not good, there can be challenges such as corrosion or scaling and fouling. For these challenges we suggest the use of a BPHE with a protective layer. The SWEP Sealix® range can help to address these challenges, with a protective layer applied to all surfaces that come into contact with water. With Sealix® you can increase the lifetime and operational safety of the entire system, reducing maintenance costs and unplanned downtime.
